The school is a great school, I attended 4 different programs at the Houston campus. I see several students complaining about the school. What I see from them is they expect something for nothing. They did not put in 100% of their own effort and expect 110% result. I...

The UTI- Sacramento wrote my husband a $3,000 check saying that we had over paid in May of 2015. We both questioned it because from the information that I had we shouldn't had gotten anything back.

Now 6 months later they tell us that OOPPSSS we shouldn't have done that and you owe us. Are you *** kidding me? No one can explain to me how or why this happen because everyone that was working at the time the check was cut is no longer there. UMMM WTF!!!

That sounds a little weird. They are trying to make us take out more loans. ***!!!

not our mistake this *** is coming out of your bank account.

STAY THE *** AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I graduated from UTI 2012. I was impressed with the facility.

Some classes were a little boring but I did learn many things that I now use in the industry. I make $22 an hour as diesel tech. Some staff were rude but many were great, helpful and tried to help me, especially in financial aid.

My rep was a man named Enrique and he was straight forward told me keep attendance strong, driving record clean, be proactive in class because you get out of it what you put into it. So that's my advice for whoever is thinking about attending at UTI

I do agree uti doesn't teach Everything you need to know to hit the field and immediately start pumping out 60 hours a week flag, but the education is a very good starting point, as for jobs in the field: look at more than a few places, I'm currently in my last intro class at uti dfw and started at a mom and pop auto repair shop for 13 an hour flag only, i last week removed and replaced a transaxle on a car i had never touched before in 7 hours thanks to the education I'm receiving at uti, my boss has already informed me that as incentive to stay after graduation i will receive a $7 raise upon completion of my last course. For those who have said that the industry pay is barely above minimum wage should also disclose the business that made that offer, i.e.

just brakes, zippy lube, ntb. There is a reason all your instructors tell you to work at dealerships and repair/performance shops!
